Meet Dr. Shambrook
Dr. Anouk Shambrook equips leaders to excel by fostering strategic vision, emotional intelligence, and adaptability. Drawing on her background as a NASA Fellow, astrophysicist, and somatic practitioner, she blends neuroscience, psychological tools, and cross-cultural expertise to help leaders and teams navigate challenges and complexity in today’s interconnected world.
With a Ph.D. in astrophysics from UC Santa Cruz and a B.A. in physics from Columbia University, Anouk began her career studying the collisions of galaxy subclusters at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Today, she applies the same fascination with invisible forces to human potential—helping leaders identify unseen obstacles like fear, perfectionism, and unconscious bias, and transforming them into opportunities for growth.
Her coaching integrates over 20 years of meditation and embodied practice with neuroscience-backed techniques and trauma-informed approaches. She is also skilled in modalities such as the Aware Ego Process, the Community Resiliency Model®, and Indigenous Focusing Oriented Therapy, which help clients overcome unconscious blocks, competing commitments, and limiting patterns. By combining science and embodied practices, Anouk empowers leaders to reconnect with their inner wisdom, transform challenges, and lead with resilience and authenticity.
Her approach has supported business leaders, educators, and even frontline doctors.
The daughter of Haitian and Irish immigrants, Dr. Shambrook’s global perspective is shaped by her lived experience in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S.
Her coaching is informed by the philosophy of Ubuntu (I am because we are), and she is known for fostering inclusive spaces where people feel seen, valued, and whole.
When she’s not coaching or teaching, you can find Anouk dancing, hiking, or sharing the practice of nondual meditation.
